Reduced residual bone height in the posterior maxilla following long-standing tooth loss and sinus pneumatisation.
Procedure
Lateral window sinus floor elevation with membrane elevation and graft placement, implants staged for a later visit.
Materials
Xenograft particulate with a collagen membrane over the window
Healing & review
Six months of graft maturation before implant placement, with radiographic review before re-entry.
Outcome
Bone height increased sufficiently to place implants of adequate length in the posterior maxilla.
